Wyldflow3r Academy is an innovative animated curriculum that takes students on an unforgettable journey through Black music history—from the Gospel roots of the 1700s to the Hip Hop revolution. Through engaging Pixar-style animation and the guidance of your host Wyldflow3r, students in grades 6-12 will explore seven transformative genres that shaped American culture and continue to influence music worldwide.

Curriculum Overview


Wyldflow3r Academy guides students through seven essential genres of Black music history:

  1. Gospel - From 1700s Anglican hymns to contemporary praise music
  2. Blues - The foundation of modern American music
  3. Jazz - Innovation, improvisation, and cultural revolution
  4. R&B/Soul - The sound of emotion and social change
  5. Funk - Rhythm, groove, and Black power

Each module features 12 animated lessons covering the genre's origins, pioneering artists, cultural impact, and evolution. Students explore how each style emerged from and influenced American social movements while learning about the legendary musicians who shaped the sound.
